The Rural Doctors Association of Australia (RDAA) is a national body representing the interests of rural medical practitioners right around Australia. Our vision is for excellent medical care for rural and remote communities. We are committed to building and maintaining a workforce of highly skilled and motivated rural medical practitioners. This requires adequate training and proper incentives, remuneration and support (both professional and personal). Formed in 1991, RDAA comprises the Rural Doctors Associations of each State and the Northern Territory. Members of these associations not only enjoy representation and other benefits at a state level, but also nationally.
