Victorian DoH Rural Professional Development Subsidy
. RDAV committee members negotiated both the National Procedural and the State PD subsidy. Federal procedural subsidy was for lost income for ‘study leave’, and State was for ‘reimbursement of expenses’ (travel accommodation and fees). It was our understanding that GPs would be eligible for both if they so qualified and this was specifically discussed at the time because they are for different aspects and it was acknowledged that procedural GPs have PDP requirements over and above non-proceduralists. RWAV however have refused to allow this and so it is not worth applying for both at this time. We hope to revisit the issue. If you are a non-proceduralist then you want the State Subsidy.

Application
• You do not have to be registered
• Print off the DHS form and apply to RWAV with details of your attendance
• All attendees will receive certificates in due course
