Welcome to the Rural Doctors Association of Victoria

RDAV is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks, as part of the RDAA, to maintain and improve the health of rural residents, through association and representation of those doctors in Victorian rural towns and communities, with the specific purpose of fostering a workforce adequate to this task through lobbying for and on occasion providing, proper education, recruitment, retention and family support.

Since 1991 RDAV has represented the 5-600 doctors working in Victorian isolated towns, especially where they work in Hospitals. Negotiating within the State (Hospitals) and through the RDAA at Federal level, many hitherto unachievable goals have been attained. The Committee is appointed at the annual week-end and AGM.
