RDAV has three working groups that provide advice and advocacy on areas of need: Maternity Services, Mental Health and GP VMO

Policy Papers

RDAV develops policy positions on issues important to rural doctors. Special efforts are required to redress the inequities in health outcomes that exist for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Contract Negotiations

RDAV provides support to individuals and groups of GP VMOs in their contract negotiations with the local health districts.  

Doctor well-being

Ensuring rural doctors are well supported and cared for while they care for others, is core to the service RDAA provides. RDAA Member Assistance Support - through Access EAP.

RDAV Membership

RDAV is a membership organisation representing the interests of rural doctors and the Victorian communities where they work and live.  As part of your RDAV membership, you will also be represented by the RDAA at a national level.
